Final Checkup

I had my final checkup on Thursday. It was a little scary to know that in less than a week I was going to have a new baby, but also very exciting as well. Parker's heart rate was 140 bpm and I measured 39 weeks. We are so thankful that I have had such a wonderful pregnancy! God truly has blessed us! James and I are praying for a healthy delivery, and a healthy baby boy! We can't wait to meet you Parker!

For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him

38 Weeks

On Thursday I had my 38 week check up, and I also took Aidan with me because he was running a fever and not feeling well. Parker and I are doing fine. His heart rate was 124 bpm and I measured 37 weeks. Which is much better than 42 the previous week. It must have been the way he was laying last week. I also lost 2 pounds. I was excited about that! Aidan on the other hand has the flu. He is already back to normal and James and I are praying that we stay well. They put me on Tamiflu as a preventive. I took it one day and it made me feel a little strange so they told me not to take it unless I started showing symptoms. So hopefully we will stay healthy.

37 weeks

My 37 week check up was on Friday, and I can honestly say I'm so tired of going to the doctor every week. We love our doctor, but honestly who wants to go to the doctor all of the time. Not me! I measured 42 weeks, and I'm only 37. When the nurse said 42 cm, I asked her what that converted to in weeks. When she said 42, I about fell off of the table! I measured 37 weeks just a week ago. I guess that explains the 5 pound weight gain in one week. I think he's going to be a big baby. I thought that about Aidan to, but he only weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. Parker's heart rate was 160 bpm, and everything else is going good. Two weeks from today Parker will be here. We are so excited. We just have a few things left to finish up. I asked James the other night if he could believe we were getting ready to be the parents of two little boys. It is still hard for me to believe sometimes. We have truly been blessed. There was a time when I didn't think I would ever have a baby, and now I'm going to have two beautiful baby boys! God is so good!

Quiet Aidan=

up to no good! Let me start by saying I was feeling pretty good about myself today. Aidan and I were both dressed, bathed, and ready to head out the door 45 minutes early. Yes, I said early. If you know my family at all you know we are never early for anything! When you are 8 months pregnant, exhausted, and can't breathe that is a huge accomplishment! Laugh if you want, but I was actually thinking to myself I think I'm going to be able to handle two babies. That's when the chaos began. Note to self: always expect the unexpected. When I was brushing my teeth, the last thing on my "to do" list before we left it got really quiet. I started yelling Aidan's name and he wouldn't answer me so I knew that he was up to something. After the third time I said his name I see him running out of Parker's room with a bottle of baby powder giggling and pouring it out as he ran. The more I told him to stop the more he shook it out. He was covered in it and so was my hallway and bedroom. So what do I do laugh, and take a picture! What a great mom! I should have disciplined him I guess, but sometimes you can choose to laugh or cry. Today I chose to laugh. He is just so ornery, and sneaky! Aidan is definitely his daddy made over when it comes to his personality! I'm hoping Parker is a little more subdued like me, but won't it make for interesting days at my house if he isn't. I'm thinking I like interesting!

36 Weeks

I can't believe that I'm almost considered full term. We are so thankful, and feel so blessed to have had such a healthy pregnancy. My 36 week check up was great. I measured 37 weeks, and Parker's heart rate was 140 bmp. Oh, and did I mention that I gained 3 pounds in 2 weeks. How does that happen? I promise I don't eat that much. Maybe Parker hit a growth spurt. That sounds good to me! Oh well, it hopefully will come off fast when I breast feed. I lost all of my baby weight with Aidan in 3 months due to breast feeding. It's the best diet I've ever been on. You eat pretty much normal and lose tons, and tons of weight. Plus, it's great for your baby! In 24 days we get to meet Parker. I guess I better get busy, and quit blogging. If I could just get up off of the couch!

What's That

If you know my child at all you know that his favorite thing to say is "what's that." Tonight I was sitting at the dining room table working on school stuff, and I kept hearing him say "what's that, and shoo." Then, I smelled something terrible, and found him standing by the back door with his diaper off. There were little poop pebbles all over my rug. My first instinct was to make sure that he didn't step in them, and then James took him and changed his diaper. I got the floor clean up job. I think James got the better end of the deal. Never a dull moment around here, and just think I'm fixing to have two! I didn't take any pictures. I know you're heart broken!
